The Houses Of Healing by DappleHack The Houses Of Healing by DappleHack
"But who knows what she spoke to the darkness, alone, in the bitter watches of the night, when all her life seemed shrinking, and the walls of her bower closing in about her, a hutch to trammel some wild thing in?’
Then Eomer was silent, and looked on his sister, as if pondering anew all the days of their past life together."

J.R.R.Tolkien, "The Return of The King"

OH MY GOODNESS! You have illustrated one of the scenes I have wished to see the most! I also love how you have given the Eomer the two braids, because I think I remember Theoden being described as having the same braids, but I can't remember. And I looked up fanart of Theoden, and no one depicted him that way. I love this.

Thats very nice :) Eomer's head is a little too big but nevermind. :) It is imo very rare scene - I've never seen that scene illustrated before. So its good that you pick up this one. Thanks :)

Uh...
Actually, it's not a lineart for colouring, it's a finished illustration...
But if you're eager to colour it - then, OK, I won't protest :)

Credits will be appreciated :)

Beautiful. I wish I had money to pay you to do some work for my game. I can't even pay myself. But I promise you if you are still wanting to help, there will always be a spot for you. Your renderings are beautiful. I hope it was fun to do and you get lots of recognition for it, you deserve it. What great work! You have my deepest respects for treating a beautifully written story with grace. And the text is a nice touch. I love Tolkien's alliterations. My favourite little factoid about him is that he thought of himself more as a poet than anything else. It really shows. I can understand why people put down his work so early on, the shire drags in LOTR, but even that is like magic. His words are so eloquent and well writ.

Thank you for the kind words!
I still have one thing to do (one more project), and when it's done I hope I'll be more free...

seriously, there is zero pressure. I haven't even heard back from anyone I have pitched it to yet. Plus I have to find some steady work and blah, blah. I want to pay you. And I DON'T want what happened to me, to happen to you. I'm sure you've run into that before. This project is very serious for me (and fun, but that is the reason I want it to be legitimate and to make sure everyone will be compensated before I start). It's fine for me to do my paintings for no money, because that will all go towards helping to sell my idea, but I don;t expect the same things from others. Now you can do whatever you want and I would be happy to shar the stories with you, in confidence, of course, to help you get an idea and just to have some fun reading.

Good luck on your next project :) I just got a couple of projects as well and that alone will eat up a lot of my time. But one thing I do every other day is commit to a half hour of writing this thing. You wouldn't believe how fast it has flown by.
