Wind of change by DappleHack Wind of change by DappleHack
"And so they stood on the walls of the City of Gondor, and a great wind rose and blew, and their hair, raven and golden, streamed out mingling in the air",
J.R.R.Tolkien, "The Return of the King".

An old picture of Faramir and Eowyn on the walls of Minas Tirith.

There's a softness in this picture that I rarely often see. What is the medium you are using here? I like the attention to details--the sling and the beautiful stars on Eowyn's cloak. The effect of light and shadow I especially love--all the details on the hands too. I like your take on both these characters. Eowyn looks gentler than she is usually portrayed, and it suits the mood of the scene, with her deep longing to be with her other companions at least one last time. You've given Faramir a fierceness too with his profile that I quite like.

This is one of my very favourite 'hidden scenes' in "The Return of the King" and I really like your interpretation. :frail:

I like it all, except Faramir's face. He looks too old somehow...

Eowyn however is perfect!

Eowyn doesn't deserve someone as good as Faramir! :P

Wonderful job on thisone! I find it very hard to mix realistic skin and hair colour. You did that part really well. What's your secret?:P
